Tabacalera
The Standard, Mexico City
The residences
- The name licensed to this project and carried on the building. A brand is not a company: it holds no title, builds nothing and runs nothing.
- The Standard
- The business the brand comes from — hotel, fashion, design, automotive, restaurant, club, or a developer’s own name.
- Hotel
- How many separately titled homes this project sells, counting every kind it sells. Where it sells more than one kind, each is named and its own count given.
- 27
- The kinds of home offered — villas, condos, penthouses, lots — and how they break down. Not how many, and not what interest is sold.
- Branded residences with hotel décor and services, each with a private balcony
- Whether a hotel shares the site, the building is mixed-use, or it is residences only.
- Inside a mixed-use building
- When the project was first made public.
- 1 Oct 2024
- When its residences were first released for sale.
- Hyatt's October 2024 release, the January 2025 announcement of the ACCIONA-Hyatt agreement and a January 2026 trade report were each read and none states when the 27 branded residences were released for sale. The brand's own property page returns 403 and no sales page for the residences was found.
- When ground was broken on the site.
- No opened page states a groundbreaking or an inicio de obra. The January 2025 announcement describes a building ACCIONA 'is developing' without giving a start, and searches in Spanish for primera piedra or inicio de obra returned no page carrying one.
- Every handover date the project has been given, oldest first.
- 2026
- When the residences were handed over to buyers.
- The most recent opened page, dated 7 January 2026, still writes 'In 2026, The Standard, Mexico City will arrive'; no opened page states the hotel or the residences have opened or been delivered.

How this project is structuredACCIONA Living & Culture is developing the Tabacalera building and the branded residences inside it, and reached an agreement with Hyatt for The Standard to operate the hotel — the first the brand will run in Latin America. The hotel is stated at 210 rooms across fifteen floors in the January 2025 announcement and at 206 rooms and suites on the brand's 2026 collateral. Hyatt acquired Standard International, the parent of The Standard and Bunkhouse Hotels, in October 2024, and that acquisition included Standard Residences under development in Mexico City.
