The residences

The name licensed to this project and carried on the building. A brand is not a company: it holds no title, builds nothing and runs nothing.
Rosewood
The business the brand comes from — hotel, fashion, design, automotive, restaurant, club, or a developer’s own name.
Hotel
How many separately titled homes this project sells, counting every kind it sells. Where it sells more than one kind, each is named and its own count given.
187
The interest a buyer takes: whole ownership, a share of one residence, or a right to use it.
Whole ownership
Whether a hotel shares the site, the building is mixed-use, or it is residences only.
Hotel on site
When its residences were first released for sale.
1970
When the residences were handed over to buyers.
No opened page states a handover date for the co-operative apartments; the building opened in the 1920s.

How this project is structuredThe Carlyle was converted into a co-operative in 1970 holding both resident-owned apartments and transient hotel units. The January 2001 sale of the hotel units to Maritz, Wolff & Co. placed the hotel under Rosewood management. The property trades today as The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel.
