Operating

The residences

The name licensed to this project and carried on the building. A brand is not a company: it holds no title, builds nothing and runs nothing.
Versace
The business the brand comes from — hotel, fashion, design, automotive, restaurant, club, or a developer’s own name.
Fashion / Design
How many separately titled homes this project sells, counting every kind it sells. Where it sells more than one kind, each is named and its own count given.
360
The kinds of home offered — villas, condos, penthouses, lots — and how they break down. Not how many, and not what interest is sold.
Studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, and penthouses of up to four bedrooms
The interest a buyer takes: whole ownership, a share of one residence, or a right to use it.
Whole ownership
Whether a hotel shares the site, the building is mixed-use, or it is residences only.
Inside a mixed-use building
The published asking range or entry price.
GBP from 712,000
When the project was first made public.
Apr 2015
When its residences were first released for sale.
No opened page dates the first release of the apartments for sale. The sales portals and agency pages opened for the tower list current availability without a launch date.
When ground was broken on the site.
No opened page dates the start of construction. The building record's nearest dated entry is the topping out in November 2019.

Who is behind it

The company that runs properties under this project’s brand and sets the standards carried under it. It need not own the name — who owns it is the brand licensor.
not recorded
The party that promotes the project and carries it through to delivery. May also hold title to part of it — being one does not make it the other.
DAMAC PropertiesSince April 2015Acquired the consented Bondway scheme and completed it.
The practice or individual who designed the building.
Kohn Pedersen Fox
The practice or individual who designed the interiors.
VersaceCredited on the tower's sales material as Versace Home.
The firm engaged under a building contract to construct the project. It builds to the developer’s order and takes no interest in the finished building.

How this project is structuredDAMAC Properties acquired the Bondway development in Nine Elms, consented by Lambeth's planning committee in August 2014, and built it as a 50-storey tower at 63–71 Bondway, renaming it from AYKON London One in 2018. Versace is credited with the interiors and licenses its name to the scheme; nothing on the tower is operated under the Versace name. The apartments are sold on 999-year leases.

1 open questionabout this project

Points this record cannot yet settle, with the sources on each side. Both readings are published rather than one being chosen quietly.

The Versace credit on the Bondway tower rests on records and listings rather than on the developer's own material.

  • The developer's own property pages for the tower return an access errorA request to the developer's United Kingdom project pages for the scheme returns HTTP 403 and the page cannot be read.source ↗
  • Versace is credited on the building record and on the sales materialThe building record lists Versace as interior designer; the new-homes portal entry and a sales listing for a unit in the tower both credit Versace Home with the interiors.source ↗
