Operating

The residences

The name licensed to this project and carried on the building. A brand is not a company: it holds no title, builds nothing and runs nothing.
Thompson
The business the brand comes from — hotel, fashion, design, automotive, restaurant, club, or a developer’s own name.
Hotel
How many separately titled homes this project sells, counting every kind it sells. Where it sells more than one kind, each is named and its own count given.
68
The kinds of home offered — villas, condos, penthouses, lots — and how they break down. Not how many, and not what interest is sold.
One- to three-bedroom condominium residences
The interest a buyer takes: whole ownership, a share of one residence, or a right to use it.
Whole ownership
Whether a hotel shares the site, the building is mixed-use, or it is residences only.
Hotel on site
The published asking range or entry price.
USD from 1.2M
When its residences were first released for sale.
2014
Every handover date the project has been given, oldest first.
2016
When the residences were handed over to buyers.

How this project is structured68 condominium residences occupy a tower beside the landmarked building at 5 Beekman Street, which holds a 287-room hotel operating as The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel. The condominium's sponsor is 5 Beekman Property Owner LLC, whose parent company is GFI Capital, and the development was a joint venture partnership between GFI Capital and GB Lodging. Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel Architects designed the tower and Thomas Juul-Hansen the residence interiors.
