The Marina & Breakwater

Fairmont Residences Abu Dhabi Marina

Operating

The residences

The name licensed to this project and carried on the building. A brand is not a company: it holds no title, builds nothing and runs nothing.
Fairmont
The business the brand comes from — hotel, fashion, design, automotive, restaurant, club, or a developer’s own name.
Hotel
How many separately titled homes this project sells, counting every kind it sells. Where it sells more than one kind, each is named and its own count given.
249
The kinds of home offered — villas, condos, penthouses, lots — and how they break down. Not how many, and not what interest is sold.
1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments
The interest a buyer takes: whole ownership, a share of one residence, or a right to use it.
Whole ownership
Whether a hotel shares the site, the building is mixed-use, or it is residences only.
Inside a mixed-use building
When its residences were first released for sale.
Dec 2014
Every handover date the project has been given, oldest first.
2016
When the residences were handed over to buyers.
No opened page states a handover for the residences. The brand's release of 18 August 2022 announces the hotel tower opening in Q3 2022, the 2014 coverage projects a 2016 debut, and two pages outside the record give Q1 2021 and "ready to move".

Who is behind it

The company that runs properties under this project’s brand and sets the standards carried under it. It need not own the name — who owns it is the brand licensor.
Accor
The party that promotes the project and carries it through to delivery. May also hold title to part of it — being one does not make it the other.

How this project is structuredFairmont is an Accor brand and the residences are carried on Accor's own residences site. The residential tower of 249 units stands beside a hotel tower on the man-made breakwater at the Abu Dhabi Marina. Accor's newsroom names National Investment Corporation as its partner on the hotel, and the developer's own projects page offers the residences for sale, furnished and open to buyers of all nationalities, where the 2014 launch report restricted purchase to UAE nationals.
